Launch of Unite‘s The People’s Budget – An alternative approach for fiscal stability and the people of Ireland

The People’s Budget will be launched by UNITE before an audience of media, trade unionists, community groups, economists and politicians. There will be an open discussion afterwards on the need to provide an alternative to the cuts approach currently being proposed that will only increase unemployment, reduce tax revenues and deepen the crisis.
The People’s Budget will present a radically different alternative to the Government’s plan, based on increasing investment on a sustained and substantial basis in order to promote growth, employment and fiscal stability.
