Debt forgiveness: When homes are repossessed, the homeloan should be cleared / written off

It is bad enough to lose ones home without being burdened for ever with debt also. Loans are being written off for developers and bankers - the public who are paying for the mess should have the same privileges. Fairness demands it.

    I think the best option is for people who can't pay their mortgage to have their house transferred into a social housing scheme, where they would pay a reasonable rent to the state and maybe gradually take ownership of the house. But I do agree, the banks should take some kind of hit.

  2. we would all just walk away from our negative equity nooses and need to be housed by the state. How would you suggets we pay for this?
