For Whom: Everyone welcome– young and old, individuals, community
organisations, civil society organisations.
We particularly welcome those who have been historically marginalised
as we are keen that everyone’s voice be heard.
It’s time to turn the despair and frustration into positive and
decisive action for real change.
Is the government listening to the ordinary people of Ireland? Do you have
something to say about the kind of Ireland you want for today and the future? Do
you feel we have a lot to offer?
‘Claiming Our Future’ is an event happening on the 30th of October in the RDS in
Dublin. The organisers want 1000 people to attend to send a clear message to the
government about the kind of society we want. It aims to foster unity across civil
society and to give power to a movement to reshape Ireland’s recovery and claim
our social values.
We are organising a forum so that people in Leitrim can come together
and articulate the kind of Ireland they want to see. Their views will then
be brought up to the Dublin meeting on the 30th of October.
The workshop promises to be fun, relaxed and interactive, while at the
same time allowing everyone to have their voice heard.
